Don Spagnolo joined Andrew to discuss his most recent blog post, “10 Steelers Under the Microscope in 2010.” The obvious number one choice was Ben Roethlisberger, and Don details the Ben we’ll probably see this year given the current public perception of him. Don also offers up his opinion on the people who will show up at training camp just to boo Ben saying that is probably to be expected.

The Baltimore Ravens have to deal with another loss to their secondary. Starting cornerback Domonique Foxworth tore his ACL Thursday and will miss the 2010-11 season.
Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb are both recovering from torn ACLs. Washington suffered the knee injury last season on Nov. 22 while Webb was injured Dec. 20. Veteran safety Ed Reed, who had hip surgery in the offseason, will start the season on the physically unable to perform list.
“I think (the Raven’s) still have a positive mood,” former Ravens wide receiver (1999-2001) Qadry Ismail said to John Seibel and Joe Starkey.

PITTSBURGH— The Steelers today agreed to terms on a five-year deal with 2010 first-round draft pick, center Maurkice Pouncey. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Pouncey was in transit today and expected to arrive at the team’s training camp in time for the first official practice on Saturday, July 31.
Pouncey (6-4, 304) was the 18th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, and was the first center selected in the first round by the Steelers since Mike Basrak in 1937. Pouncey, who is versatile enough to play offensive guard, started 39-of-41 games that he appeared in during his three-year college career at Florida.more

LATROBE, Pa. (AP) — Ben Roethlisberger already is trying to reshape his battered image, arriving at the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp in a subcompact car rather than an oversized SUV or a loaded-up truck.
Roethlisberger acknowledges he’s glad to be putting his troubled offseason behind him and is looking forward to the season — even though he will be suspended for at least one-quarter of it. Roethlisberger was disciplined by the NFL after being accused of, but not charged with, sexually assaulting a college student.

Ben Roethlisberger is in Latrobe and says he’s putting the offseason behind him and moving on.

93.7 The Fan Steelers analyst Josh Miller says that Byron Leftwich needs to get 60 percent of the snaps at Steelers training camp followed by Dennis Dixon with 30 percent and then Ben Roethlisberger with the remaining 10 percent.
“I think the lion share (of reps) has to go to the guy that you’re going to ask to play the most,” Miller said. “Now who’s that going to be? I think it’s Leftwich.”
Miller says that he wouldn’t even suite up Roethlisberger for preseason games.
“Leftwich needs to get the reps. He’s going to be the go-to guy.”
Miller played with the Steelers from 1996-2003 and spent the end of his summers in Latrobe for training camp.
“There’s nothing like Latrobe,” he said. “Everybody comes out here. You’re the only game in town. I know hockey is fantastic. But right now, this time of year, it’s football.”

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Steelers beat writer Scott Brown can’t break any news on Maurkice Pouncey yet, but he doesn’t foresee this being a long, drawn-out process. Scott tells us where Flozell Adams might fit on the line and breaks down the QB situation as he previews what to watch in Latrobe.
